Beautiful flooring!

Yaaaaaay the flooring got put in yesterday and it looks SOOOO great! I absolutely love it! Sally arranged for a guy to install it and also got us new baseboards so it all looks wonderful. We just need to attach the baseboards, take the doors off to paint them, put the pooh boarder up and then David can finally put together the furniture! I'm very excited and can't wait to have his room finished! What do you guys think of the floors? Don't know if you can tell but they're a really pretty cherry color.

Great day!

So today has been just about as wonderful as it possibly could have been for me! We went to the new OB and I really liked her. She asked about a million questions and they redid pretty much every single test I've had. I also found out that my original OB missed giving me another test! I was supposed to have the tuberculosis test done by now. So they gave me that and they also gave me the order to have my blood glucose test done on Monday. So we will do that first thing on Monday morning and register at Marian hospital.

She also changed my due date to March 28th, so I will be 31 weeks on Sunday. If the baby is born at 32 weeks or later they would keep him at Marian hospital unless he had great difficulty breathing, then he would be transferred to Cottage. So I am very optimistic and feeling great about the switch. From now on I will be seeing the same OB at every appt and feel MUCH better about that.

She asked about my contractions and told me that I should be able to start doing more. She did tell me that if I'm having more then 6 in an hour I need to call. I have to take it really easy and lay down most of the time but I am able to get up and do some things though!

After the Dr's appt we went to Santa Maria BBQ and got yummy Tri-Tip sandwiches! I was soooo excited about that! LOL Tomorrow the floors are getting installed in the baby's room! I can't wait! So excited to see them finished and for David to be able to put the crib, changer and dresser together! WOO HOO! I will definitely show you guys once it's done and I get home. David as making me go to my mom's because of all the sawdust and what not. But I'd rather not hear all the noise and stuff anyways.

So that's my news for today! Hopefully I'll have pics for you tomorrow night of the finished floor! :) Hope everyone else is doing good. Love you and miss you all!

Oh Insomnia

So its about 3am and I just can't sleep. Not tired. So many things I wish I could be doing but nothin...just laying in bed. :( It's been a week now and I'm very thankful that he isn't here yet so I must be doing something right! 6 more weeks til he's full term and safe to arrive.
I'm starting to really look forward to my shower and seeing all the ladies. It will be nice just to see faces and chat even though I'll be stuck sitting down! LOL It will just be nice to be able to chat and celebrate the little man. He is awake right now with me kicking away. I suppose this is preparation for the late nights. Fortunately I do ok with late nights. Rather enjoy them matter of fact. The quiet is nice. Lately the rain has been very soothing to hear but I haven't been outside at all. This whole experience makes me very grateful for everything. You never realize how much you enjoy all the little things like vacuuming and dishes until u can't do them! LOL I probably sound crazy but I miss cleaning and doing laundry. Haha Ok well I'm going to try to catch some Zzz. Love you guys!

Baby's room

Hi guys I just wanted to put pics of the nursery on here so you could see the paint. Cherry laminate floors are supposed to get installed on Saturday so once they are in David can put the furniture together. I'll have to decorate veeery slowly because of the contractions but the Dr. did give me the ok to start slowly increasing my activity, so hopefully I can start to do more then go to the bathroom! LOL Not gonna push myself too much though.

We meet with a new OB in Santa Maria on Friday because I'm over the Sansum place and being shuffled around to 8 different OBs. Plus the baby doesn't have a heart murmur like me so he shouldn't need to be in the best NICU if he even needs one at all. Santa Maria does have one though just incase and they're only 25 minutes away instead of an hour! I'm excited to meet the new doc and hope that things go better over there.

Well here are the pics! David is still gonna paint the doors white and then put up the pooh boarder (that I showed on the video) in between the two blues. Slowly but surely! LOL We will be ready for him soon!

Contractions scare

So we had a little scare this week. I guess I overdid it this week because I had a sudden energy burst and was cleaning, working on baby's room, running errands, and overall just doing too much. Thursday afternoon I started feeling tightening from about two inches above my belly button all the way down. I started tracking and they were between 4-10 minutes apart. I called OB and nurse told me to take a bath and drink as much water as I could and then get in bed and lay on my left side. They slowed down to about every 30 minutes unless I got up to go to the bathroom, then I'd have another one. I slept fine all night but woke up and was having them again.

I called around 2 because they weren't going away but nobody ever called me back so I called Labor & Delivery at Cottage. They told me just to come down so they could check me. When I got there the monitor said I was actually having them every two minutes. Monitored me for a few more hours and then came in and gave me a shot of terbutaline and two hydroxyzine. As soon as I got those the contractions stopped. They also game me the fetal fibronectin test (which tells if you're going to deliver in the next two weeks) and that came back negative (Thank God!). They told me if they stayed gone for a couple of hours that I could go home. So about 11pm I got released on bedrest with an "irritable uterus" and told to call my OB on Monday to let her know what happened and see if they wanted me to come in.

So now I'm home and stuck in bed but very glad that the little man decided not to make an early appearance after all! Just wanted to let you all know what was going on and that we are FINE but will have to be taking it easy from now on! I hope they will let me off bed rest when I call tomorrow but even if they don't it's much better being home and in bed then it is in the uncomfy hospital!

Here is a pic of me in my stylish hospital robe! LOL

Hey so I'm not sure why I did this eye bulge thing the whole time, I was kinda nervous so I guess that was it, but I will try not to do that anymore! LOL

Happy New Year!

Hey guys,

So I'm starting this blog to keep you guys updated with news, pics and videos. I will do my very best to update it as much as possible, but I'm sure once the baby comes it will be hard to find the time! :) I hope that everyone's holidays went well and lets all have a wonderful 2010!
